Senior DevOps Engineer

Reports to: CTO / Head of Engineering

Role Overview

We are looking for a top-tier DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate the infrastructure behind a high-scale, data-intensive platform.

You will be responsible for ensuring our systems are fast, reliable, scalable, and secure, supporting real-time processing of massive datasets and mission-critical workloads.

This role requires someone who is deeply technical, highly proactive, and capable of owning infrastructure end-to-end in a fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Architecture

• Design and manage scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructure across cloud environments

• Build and maintain infrastructure for high-throughput data pipelines and real-time systems

• Optimize compute, storage, and networking for performance and cost efficiency

CI/CD & Automation

• Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for rapid and reliable deployments

• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

• Improve developer workflows and deployment velocity

System Reliability & Monitoring

• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems across all services

• Ensure high availability and uptime of critical systems

• Diagnose and resolve production issues under pressure

Performance & Scaling

• Identify bottlenecks and optimize system performance at scale

• Manage distributed systems handling large volumes of data

• Tune databases, caching layers, and compute workloads

Security & Compliance

• Implement best practices for infrastructure security and access control

• Manage secrets, credentials, and secure configurations

• Support compliance requirements related to data handling and infrastructure

Ownership & Problem Solving

• Take full ownership of infrastructure reliability and performance

• Proactively identify risks and implement solutions before they become issues

• Work closely with engineering teams to support system design and deployment

Requirements

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

• Deep knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar)

• Strong understanding of networking, Linux systems, and security fundamentals

• Experience with CI/CD tools and deployment pipelines

  
  

Data & Systems Experience

• Experience supporting data-intensive or distributed systems

• Familiarity with high-performance databases (e.g., ClickHouse, PostgreSQL)

• Understanding of streaming systems or large-scale data processing is a plus

  
  

Monitoring & Reliability

• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.)

• Strong debugging and incident response skills

• Ability to manage uptime in high-pressure environments
