Fivecell is a geospatial advertising intelligence and data analytics platform. We help advertisers, agencies, and publishers understand audiences, measure campaign performance, and make data-driven decisions, using pseudonymous data received from trusted, vetted data vendors.
Privacy is not an afterthought in how we operate. It is built into our data architecture, our legal basis for processing, and our technical safeguards, including the generalisation of all location-based outputs so that no individual's precise location is ever exposed in our platform's results.
How we handle data
We do not collect data directly from individuals. We do not place cookies, tracking pixels, or any form of device storage on user devices. Instead, we receive pseudonymous identifiers and signals from IAB-registered data vendors, under their disclosed consent and in compliance with applicable law.
All data we receive is processed in one of 2 ways:
Audience and spatial intelligence (SaaS platform)
We use received data to produce aggregated, generalised audience insights and spatial analytics for our clients. All location-based outputs are processed through a signal-noise algorithm that deliberately obscures precise positioning, so no output ever reveals or exposes an individual's exact location.
Data licensing
We license underlying data to enterprise clients under data licence agreements, where our vendors' disclosed consent covers this redistribution. Clients are contractually required to handle data in accordance with applicable law.
How we comply with privacy frameworks
GDPR
Fivecell is established in the Republic of Cyprus and processes data in compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"). Our lead supervisory authority is the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection of Cyprus.
IAB Europe Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF)
Fivecell is in the process of registering as a vendor on the IAB Europe Global Vendor List ("GVL"), under the TCF 2.2 framework. Once registered, our Vendor ID and full declarations will be publicly accessible on the GVL. We are building our systems against TCF technical specifications in advance of registration.
Information security: ISO 27001
We are actively working towards certification under ISO/IEC 27001, the international standard for information security management. This process involves implementing a comprehensive Information Security Management System ("ISMS") covering the people, processes, and technology that underpin how we store, access, and protect the data we process. We view ISO 27001 as an important complement to our data privacy commitments. Good privacy practice and strong information security are inseparable, and certification will provide independent, third-party assurance of our security controls to our clients and data partners.
